Curriculum vitae

The Alto Ragnhild Groven graduated from Barratt Dues Musikkinstitutt in Oslo, Norway. She studied singing with prof. Oskar Raaum, who was himself a student under the ledgendary Italian baritone Riccardo Stracciari. 

She studied interpretation with prof. Robert Levin and prof. Olav Eriksen at the Norwegian State Accademy of Music. Masterclass with Birgit Nilsson, Sweden and futher studies with Vera Rozsa, London, and studies at the operaschool in Stockholm. 

She recorded the CD “Romantic Songs” together with the baritone Rolf Nykmark and she has participated on several other CD recordings. 

She has performed for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, both for TV and radio and on numerous official occations, including several times for the Norwegian Royal Family.
